I really like these guys and they are one of the louder more screamoish/metal oriented music I listen to! Their second c.d. is a real gem in my opinion and has a lot of unique elements that set it apart for me! Overall, I like the guys scratchy vocals when he screams and it's one of the few screaming vocals I like! I always like my heavy music melodic as well which Blindside definitely is! They are supposed to be a Christian themed band lyrically but I don't get that vibe which means it's BS or they aren't overt about it which is good!

I'm fine as long as it avoids the "What is real metal?" crap! I'm happy with either placement!

I am truly tired of the over "genrefication" that has envoloped music for years now. Some seem straightforward enough and necessary, others seem contrived or manufactured to me.

Here it was written, and here it will remain till the end of days.

This closing track may be my favorite off of the new album! It's got so much going on in it from nice harmonies, to a great beat, to the electronica, to the overall great ambience! Epic track!

By your recommendation Soots, I've decided to give these guys a listen. Currently have Sleepwalking playing, and I really like it. I'll give a couple more songs a listen before I decide on getting some of their work, but I think it's a definite possibility that i'll end up with every album they've released.

You should! My favorite album from them is "About A Burning Fire" but their new album is kicking my ass right now!
