Feldy i can remember the year that song came out, it shot to number one and stayed their for quite a while where I lived at the time...looking back it is still not a bad tune. But many critics lambasted that song, it used to be on many "worst ever pop songs list" over the years.

To be honest, I think "Achy Breaky Heart" will eventually follow the same path.

I've never really liked that song, but it isn't as bad as those "Worst song" countdowns would have you believe, either.

Will probably become a cherished relic for 90's kids in a few decades, as sad as that sounds now :heheh:

This is an interesting pairing.

Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods' cover of Billy Don't Be A Hero hit #1 in the US in 1974 (I think).

The original version hit #1 in the UK.

Yup. Paper Lace.

So, Billy was #1, twice, by different bands on different continents.
