That's one whole show (Their last show for their series)...I just added the last part that was missing and what I could find of the song "ZOR AND ZAM" from the episode...the second season was not as scripted as the first season was...they were pretty high for pretty much all of that season...and had alot of improv...they had improv in the first as well...but alot more mistakes and natural vibe left in the second go around.

Cool...I forgot that at the very end the late Tim Buckley (yes Jeff Buckley's Dad) made a guest appearance. So I added that in the same post for ya :grinthumb

Great to see this band back in action....45 years on !! Those live dates will be sell outs thats for sure. Good to see footage of their old tv series...great memories.
Shame wooly hat Mike Nesmith isnt involved...he doesnt like touring .I read he had to pay 100,000 pounds to be released from his contract with the group in 1969. Money wont pursuade Nesmith in returning......he inherited his mothers fortune. His mother invented "liquid paper".:****:
Musically THE MONKEES are loved around the world......"daydream believer " has got be no 1 when it comes to karaoke :heheh::grinthumb

I'm pretty sure it's more than just that, and is likely linked to both the music (much of which I think he looked down his nose at) and the fact that he's known to be a control freak with just about any project he's involved in.

It doesn't matter, it will be a time travel and a good one, everyone should enjoy it, at least he's not doing it for the money :) as Lou says he paid a lot to get out of his contract !!

Re: The Monkees: All Things Monkees

LOVE this thread. In regards to Tim Buckley's appearance, at the end of the last four episodes each guy was supposed to have a friend or hero do a guest spot. Mickey had Buckley, Mike had Zappa, and Davy had Charlie Smalls (a friend who later co-wrote "The Wiz"). Peter was supposed to have Pete Seeger, but it didn't happen. It was never explained why.
