The Jezabels are an Australian band who are unfortunately mostly known as a support act for more famous bands. They made this name by touring all around their home Sydney regularly, and later around the whole country since they formed in 2007. The band consists of four members: Hayley Mary on vocals, Heather Shannon on piano and keyboard, Nik Kaloper on drums and Samuel Lockwood on guitar. They've supported countless Australian bands, and some of them are: Regurgitator, Bluejuice, Dukes of Windsor, Van She, Sparkadia and Josh Pyke. They've also played a wide variety of music festivals, with the most famous being the Big Day Out in 2009.
Also in 2009 they released both of their records so far, two EP's by the name of "The Man Is Dead" and "She's So Hard"
Their brand of music is largely a collaborative effort, there is no instrument that stands out from another and they meld together well to created an accomplished finished product. The current single and IMO their best song "Hurt Me" showcases this, with equal attention paid to vocals, keyboards, drums and guitar, making for a sleek and exciting listen!
