OMG! ... Chicago must have been top drawer, Alice also must have been great - and to see them close up!
Aorta earn great respect these days.. I wonder if Connie can locate 'Gig Memories' thread.... is there one?
I can't recall on a personal level much musically in 1968....apart from TV / radio etc... a year later I attended a now cult rock festival.

I didn't see that many name bands in 68....started seeing more in 69.
CTA/Chicago was at college in Sep 69....Cooper was at a small club near where I lived ...don't even recall what they played ,they only had one lp out then....no hits yet.
I mostly went to local bands gigs,,,,in our area the two favorites were The Basooties and THe Chocolate Watch Band....both did psych rock and The Basooties did Beatles covers especially Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper etc....Watch Band did Hendrix and Blue Cheer, etc and some originals.

I really dig Barry & Robins original... but this from a thrift store brings back memories of '68...(picked up Golden Hour of Quo years later at same shop!)
