Jimi and co talking about music and gimmicks
I have mentioned a few of these before...
Being at a festival and someone heckled him and he shouted "shut up you prat" and my mate Tes shouting "get on with it" when he was messing about on stage and Roy replied "I am getting on with it"
I interrupted John Cooper Clarke at a festival asking him when he was coming on stage and he said (in his manchester accent) "in exactly 5 minutes and then proceeded to talk to me about the singer on the main stage explaining to me "I don't know why he wasn't a superstar and that he was good looking and could sing and dance" I was rather drunk and he did not come on for over an hour
Seeing Sean Cannonfrom the Dubliners in a pub in Derbyshire and halfway through the show I caught up with him and asked him to play "the rare old mountain dew" in the second half of his set and he started to sing it and tap his feet and then said "I need a Guiness" and legged it to the bar.
Watching the Ramones live and seeing a fan climb on top of a speaker and shake his head about, Joey Ramone encouraging him. A pair of security men trying to get him down and he climbed onto the balcony and was helped into the upper crowd by fans, leaving the security to scratch their heads and then the guy appearing on the other side of the stage on the other speaker some time later and getting away with it
