Those great moments in music caught on record or film and even the personal concert highs that have stuck in your head. As many as you can muster.

Jimmy Page .. His guitar work on "Since I've Been Loving You" from the third album for me quite possibly the best solo I have ever heard.

Queen on film nailing the Live Aid gig at Wembly in '85 and leaving the rest in their wake.

Rory Gallagher coming out to the front of the stage at Nottingham Rock City with an acoustic guitar and blowing the fans minds with his version of "Out On The Western Plain" (That memory is stuck in my head).

:cheers2

Watching Billy Gibbons play "Blue Jeans" and his awesome guitar solo's.

Rob Halford riding out on a chrome Harley and singing "You Got Another Thing Coming"

Being 10 feet from Ann Wilson as she played the flute in Sing Child Sing..

The bizzar stage show that Earth Wind and fire did when the witchdoctor came out on stage and climbed in a grass hut and it rose up in the air and then burst into flames and then a huge explosion and he was back on the stage again..

Bobby Joe Brown chugging Jack Black and still doing a dam good job singing..

Tower of Power on stage at the November Jam concert in Onterio Calif..

^^^ Nice that's what I like..

On Film .. The broken guitar strap just as Eric is about to blitz his solo in "Further On Up The Road" The Band don't even flinch and Robbie does a fantastic job of covering. From "The Last Waltz" one of the best Rock movies ever IMO.

On record .. Mike Vernon persuading the egineer at Decca to let Eric Clapton play at full tilt on the Bluesbreakers (Beano) album, Even though they had to redirect the amp and muffle the sheer volume, the sound they got inspired the next generation of players and changed the guitar landscape forever.

I've already posted this in the Coldplay thread, but for Sound Relief in Sydney Chris Martin took off into the crowd in one of the most emotional scenes I've witnessed in music:

I was so, so hyped up for the Tom Petty concert, this past summer. The feeling I got as soon as they came on stage and played my favorite song from them was simply amazing.. I wasn't even completely expecting them to play it, but they started off with Listen to Her Heart.. That feeling started the concert off with this euphonious sound and a euphoric vibe.. nothing in the world was wrong..:mn::HP

eberg ,,, I know what you mean I saw Jethro Tull last year and they opened with my favourite song, I first saw them on the Crest Of A Knave tour and again on The Rock Island tour, but when they did Dun Ringill last year that was something else. :cheers2
