Back in the mid 1980s a load of Isley Brothers US import vinyl albums showed up in the Virgin record store in London which I bought at that time. Regarding there albums I especially like the 3+3 band that included Ernie, Marvin & Jasper from 1973 through to 1983. I am not naturally a 'soul music guy' some of it's alright but I am really a rock music guy but I do like there mixture of rock/soul inspired albums. An early live album of there's that is worth listening to is the Isley's Live double-album from early 1973 just prior to 3+3 album release in 1973 but the Isley's Live album featured Ernie, Marvin & Jasper and sounds great with good production values like your standing right in front of the band at a live gig and also includes some great songs on that album such as Hendrix's Machine Gun/Neil Young's Ohio plus Bob Dylan's Lay Lady Lay and a great cover of Carole King's It's To Late with Ernie sounding very much like Jimi Hendrix on this album.
