WILL THE E STREET BAND CONTINUE?
Brought To You By VH1’s Dave Basner

E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons passed away due to complications from a stroke on Saturday and now, as fans grieve they are left wondering what will happen to the band. He isn’t the first member to pass on – in 2008 keyboardist Danny Federici died of melanoma – but Clarence was one of the biggest presences on the stage, so his absence will change the group’s dynamic. He has big shoes to fill and there is no word yet if Bruce Springsteen will attempt to find someone to fill them.

As long as Springsteen is around then his music will be played, whether that's with the E-Street band or other musicians is up to him in the end.

After the grieving is over, and they get together then I'm sure they'll make the right decision for all of them.

People have come and gone from the E Street Band throughout their history. Admittedly the Big Man's presence will be hard to replace, but as long as Bruce wants to keep the band alive they'll play on.
