No-one in March 1973 could have imagined that an album released in that month would still be thrilling listeners 38 years later, but it’s true. Today marks the UK release (tomorrow if you’re in North America) of a major re-appraisal of one of rock’s biggest –selling and, to these ears, most pleasing albums: The Dark Side Of The Moon.

I believe he's talking about the RE-release. CDs in the US mostly come out on Tuesdays so it must be coming out tomorrow like he said.

Definitely going for the 2 disc version! Can't wait. I definitely won't be springing for the $100 Darkside boxed set. Just like with Nirvana's upcoming Nevermind boxset, it's far too little for far too much. The day I waste tens of dollars on useless DVD reiterations is the day I'll end up in the poor house.

I wouldn't mind getting my hand on CD 3 of the set though, with Alan Parsons' mix and a track from the Household Items project. Oh my goodness I would love to hear anything from that project! I mean it comes inbetween Darkside and Wish You Where Here... it automatically has to be some of the best music ever made.
