I voted for Metallica in this poll based on their body of work up to 1996's Load album/cd.

However... if I were going to place these bands 1-4 based on one album, it would go this way:

1- Anthrax (The Sound Of White Noise) Love it!
2- Metallica (Metallica '90) Like it.
3- Megadeth (Countdown To Extinction) Like a few songs on it.
4- Slayer (by default - no album) Ehh...

Megadeth. But I like Metallica, I'm not one of the idiot elitists that love to complain about how they "sold out with the Black album" (ugh) but Megadeth is better for me. They also have better (mostly because they made more) 90s material. Risk is overhated. I like every big 4 band except slayer
