Stones are great no doubt but the Beatles volume of remarkable songs plus the evolution of the music/techniques/production over their short less than 10 years of putting out records blows the Stones out of the water.

Seriously this is one of those choices you make based on who do you listen to more.. Shame on radio playing way to many Beatle songs.. Stones for me too.

Very difficult as I consider The Beatles to be composers and 'classic'... Complete innovators also. But I like gregarious and edgy art-songs like Monkey Man and Rocks Off, Stray Cat Blues are just about as raw and energetic as hell. The Beatles songbook you'd bring home to meet yer' parents.... The Rolling Stones repertoire you'd sneak upstairs after dark!

Thought we did this one before....but Beatles for sure. Stones had some good tracks but the Beatles were the soundtrack of my youth.
