Suggested Gig venues for classic/hard rock band in UK

Hi,

My son is in the band - Freeway Mad www.freewaymad.co.uk They are based in the Reading/Basingstoke part of the UK. They have played venues locally, and up into London & the midlands. There next gig is the 100 Club in London on Friday on Aug 2nd

I'm interested in events or venues which you think would attract a Classic Rock Audience. They play Classic Hard Rock , I guess in the NWOBM style, all their own material, but with a particular fondness for the Classic Thin Lizzy-style guitar harmonies.

You can put your material on the web, blitz venues with flyers etc but at the end of the day you have to find your audience, so any places which have an appetite for hard rock would be great to hear about

Reading based, surely I should catch up these guys next time they play here. From what I've heard breifly, they're sounding quite good.

Thanks - they are, but I am biased . Hopefully they will be returning to "The Sun" , a few doors down from Sweeney Todds Pie Shop later in the year. Its a good Rock Pub and great beer. Got gigs in Bracknell, Basingstoke & Winchester coming up, plus Birmingham and London
