State of Rock​

Frontman, Tony Mills, previously of TNT and Shy, has hooked up with 3 German band members from a band called 'Frontline'. Oddly enough Frontline's debut album in 1994 was called "The State of Rock".

State of Rock is pretty solid, and has some of the better melodic hard rock I have heard in quite some time. Tony Mills is a fabulous vocalist and the guitar work of Robby Boebell is outstanding. Bassist Hutch Bauer and Drummer Rami Ali complete the band. The band has now added two more members since they have began touring, a Keyboardist, Joe Baskette (of Shy) and another guitarist, Wolfgang 'Schimmi' Schimmer ( of Evidence One).


The debut album from State of Rock was released early in 2010:

According to Mills, this isn't a "one of" album and the band is working on more material.


I hope they stay together, because this first album is fantastic!

This is quality stuff ! Tony Mills vocals have got even better with age.I always thought his old NWOBHM band SHY had tremendous potential.
I think a lot of people should take to STATE OF ROCK

State of Rock is top quality.........I did get 2 of Frontline's albums, just to compare the sound, but I haven't compared Mill's vocals with any Shy albums.

No, they are German and the frontman, Tony Mills, is English.

Again this is really good stuff..I do see that Mills took over Harnell's vocal job in TNT, when he left in 2006.
