I always had this crazy idea, if someone would make movie about your life, what would soundtrack look like? Keep in mind there only can be 15 tracks within these borders (song in each period of life doesn't have to themed , maybe songs that fulfill each period or just remind you about some period) :

1.Birth
2.Childhooh (2-10 age)
3.Puberty / Primary & High School(11-19 age)
4.Falling in love
5.First time you got in big trouble
7.First time you got drunk / high
8.College (20-29 age)
9.Peak of your life
10.Finding job / Getting married (30-39 age)
11.Start a family
12.Raising kids
13.Getting old (40-69 age)
14.Last days
15.Death

I'll make my list later, and for periods you didn't experienced, just put song that would fit good in your opinion.
:D Have fun

I live in Buffalo, NY
1) Brilliant Mistake - Elvis Costello (Birth: Because my 3 sisters were so much older than I, I had to be a mistake so why not a Brilliant one!)

2) Snoopy Vs The Red Baron - The Royal Guardsmen (I would play this song over & over & walk around in a circle w/ the album cover on my head!)

3) The Hockey Song - Stomping Tom Connors (from the time I was 9 until my mid 20's ice hockey ruled my life. I played in several leagues, coached, & was always a Montreal Canadiens freak. I was always a mellow kid but I loved checking kids & dropping my gloves to fight!

4) Goody 2 Shoes - Adam Ant (As a teen I didn't drink & didn't smoke...what did I do??? I also never said a swear word until I turned 18. 18 was the the legal drinking age so I did drink alcohol once I turned 18

5) Great White Buffalo by Ted Nugent (in 1977 Buffalo, NY was hit by a major Blizzard which made world news & it was known as the Blizzard of '77 & it is still talked about here in Buffalo)

6) Rock & Roll All Nite by Kiss (Playing Hockey was a big part of my life but by the time I turned 16 Kiss also ruled my life & they still do to this day!!

7) 2 Triple Cheese by Commander Cody (eating was always my weakness & I always was a big eater so this song about Triple Cheese Burgers is perfect!)

8) Have a Drink on Me by AC/DC ( By 1980 I began having the time of my life which lasted a decade. I loved going to the clubs to have a drink or 2 & watch bands.

9) Meatmen Stomp by the Meatmen (I was training to be a butcher at age 19 but ended up cutting off 2 finger tips)

10) Girls by David Johansen (I was always shy around girls but once I realized that they liked talking to me when I was 20 years old their was no turning back. I finally really discovered girls!!!)

11) Unforgettable by Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole (This was the song which brought my wife of 17 years (Debbie) & me together. We were both invited to the same wedding so we went together as friends. I don't know what happened but we slow danced to this song & we both knew we'd be together forever (& no I'm not using a Rick Astley song next!!)).

12) Pain by Alice Cooper (Darn Back problems started up!!)

13) Under the Blade by Twisted Sister (6 back surgeries & still counting!!)

14) Thank You for being a Friend by Andrew Gold (This goes out to my best friend whom I have been best friends with since the 4th grade...Spanky Madoo who stops by here once in a while)

15) Looking Back by Paul Pope (The words go "Looking Back I think we're all Insane...)

& that's my Soundtrack!!!!

1. Birth...Frank Sinatra's "Strangers in the Night".

2. Childhood...Elvis Pressley's "Jail House Rock" always comes to mind.

3. Puberty...The Beatles "Get Back" is the song that started my passion for exploring music on my own.

4. Falling in Love...Carly Simon's "Your So Vain", my first girlfriend invited me to her place her Mom worked nights and she had this cool psychedelic lamp that created a great atmosphere and that song was playing on the radio.

5. First time I got in trouble...Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen, "Hot Rod Lincoln", got caught driving my Dad's old uninsured Chevy on our back road, got off with a warning but Dad took away my keys after he found out.

6. First time I got drunk...Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild", my brother invited a bunch of his friends over when Mom and Dad were in Vancouver, so I got drunk and stoned for the first time in my life. The next day was no fun at all though.

7. College,,,,never went to university but I was working at my first real job so I bought my first Styx album "Pieces of Eight" and my favorite song "Queen of Spades".

8. Peak of my life...Beethoven's Sixth Symphony or the Pastoral as it's called. Was in charge of my own crew running a job site when I was getting into classical music.

9. Didn't get married, so I'll go with The Clash's song "Lost in the Supermarket" when I was working in the food business before I moved up a few levels.

10. Start a family...freebie seeing I don't have any kids, but I will say that Johann Strauss's waltzes have been a great choice for a romantic evening with someone special.

11. Raising kids,,,,again I don't have kids but if I did Joe Walsh's song "Life's Been Good" would be a fitting choice.

12. Getting old,,,that I do qualify for. Rossini's Overtures the whole CD I knew I was fully grown when I played that one at a party with good friends, amazingly enough they all had a blast with it too.

13. Last Days...Charlie Daniels Band "Million Mile Reflections" would be a good choice.

14. Death...Blue Oyster Cult "Don't Fear the Reaper", and I don't I have had a good life with nothing to complain about.

There are my songs DZ.

If my life was a film, it would have the most f__ked up soundtrack EVER.

Titles in RED have an actual historical significance in my life, tied to that particular time in my life. The rest is speculation and an impeccable imagination. :D

1. Birth
"Like a Surgeon" - Weird Al.

(Complete with chainsaw sound effect.)

2. Childhood

"Sing" - Carpenters
(The chorus of la-la-la-la-la's would just be perfect. And I'm a total sap for happy shit.)

Runner-up: "Junk" - Sandie Shaw.

3. Puberty / Primary & High School

"I Wish I Looked a Little Better" - Sparks
Runner-up: "I'm a Marionette" - ABBA

4. Falling in love
"April, Come She Will" - Simon & Garfunkel
Runner-up: "Be My Baby" - The Ronettes

5. First time you got in big trouble
"Bodies" - The Sex Pistols
(That's all I'm gonna say about that one.)

7. First time you got drunk / high

"Rainy Day Mushroom Pillow" - Strawberry Alarm Clock
Runner-up: "Strange Brew" - Cream

8. College
"Gold Dust Woman" - Fleetwood Mac
Runner-up: "See Emily Play" - Pink Floyd

9. Peak of your life
"Midnight Cruiser" - Steely Dan

10. Finding job / Getting married
"You're All I Need" - Motley Crue
(Because in my film it would end in murder, goddamnit.)
Runner-up: "The Decline and Fall of Me" - Sparks

11. Start a family
"Tryouts for the Human Race" - Sparks
(No greater song has ever been written about the traveling perils of jizz.)

12. Raising kids
"Maxwell's Silver Hammer" - Beatles

13. Getting old
Goodbye Blue Sky - Pink Floyd
Runner-up: "Summer Breeze" - Seals & Croft

14. Last days
"Coming Back to Me" - Jefferson Airplane

15. Death
"It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" - 13th Floor Elevators

Nice soundtracks you got there, folks :)
Here's my list . . .

1. Birth
The Allman Brothers Band - Little Martha
(one of my most favorite instrumentals, whenever I listen to it I feel it's the sound of something new creating)

2.Childhood
The Rolling Stones - Jumpin' Jack Flash
(I was crazy when I was little, jumping and goofing around)

3.Puberty / Primary & High School
The Doors - Soul Kitchen
(cool and rhytmic beat for great time at Pr. & High School, chilling with buddies and being just silly teenagers)

4.Falling in love
Led Zeppelin - The Rain Song
(I love this song so much, and I think that mystic sound of guitar shows that shyness when your fall in love with someone, and lyrics give strength and tells about great power of love)

5.First time you got in big trouble
Blue Cheer - Summertime Blues
(When I had definite F at Math for the end of first school semester, my mom and dad got so angry that I always imagine that this song could be in background when they were yelling at me)

7.First time you got drunk / high
Pink Floyd - Breathe
(One of all time fav songs,me and my buddies decided we will try weed for the first time, and we were playing this in background.Ultimate trip song)

8.College
Led Zeppelin - That's The Way
(I just started with my college, and the city I'm in is far away from my home, so it's like lefting one part of my life and starting with another)

9.Peak of your life
Jefferson Airplane - Embryonic Journey
(When I imagine happiness and carelessness, I always think of this song. Beautiful masterpiece. )

10.Finding job / Getting married
The Guess Who - No Sugar Tonight/ New Mother Nature
(Would sound awesome in background while looking for job all around the town, or going out with girl and proposing her)

The Velvet Underground - Rock and Roll
(This song would make perfect fit with enjoying in life with wife)

12.Raising kids
Bob Dylan - Don't Think Twice, It's Alright
(Gentle song that perfectly describe joy of becoming father)

13.Getting old
Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing
(That's the song I want to get old with, plus it would capture that nostalgic and moody feel that end is nearer, but enjoying while you can)

Magna Carta - Two Old Friends
(Sad song about thinking of your life, past memories, moments, joys, adventures, friends...)

1.Birth
De-Do-Do-Do, De-Da-Da-Da - The Police

mainly because I always thought the lyrics were Goo Goo Goo, Ga Ga Ga... which is the noise I tended to make when I was a youngun

2.Childhood (2-10 age)
You've Got a Friend in Me - Randy Newman

Combines my favourite childhood movie, Toy Story, with my attitude towards relationships. I've always valued my friendships and help a friend when I can :D

3.Puberty / Primary & High School(11-19 age)
Changes - David Bowie

Not only was I undergoing the natural physical and psychological changes that everyone goes through, the entire world was changing during this period of my life dure to two things - The Internet, and terrorism

4.Falling in love
I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song - Jim Croce

I, um, learned how to play/sing this song to ask my first girlfriend out...

5.First time you got in big trouble
I've Been A Bad, Bad Boy - Paul Jones

The title says it all

7.First time you got drunk / high
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

Typical song to associate with that stuff, but it works for me

8.College (20-29 age)
Senses Working Overtime - XTC

Because I'm working overtime, all the time due to the workload... plus other things

from here on it's an educated guess :D

9.Peak of your life
It's My Life - Bon Jovi

Another typical song that works for me

10.Finding job / Getting married (30-39 age)
Getting Better - The Beatles

To me, that's the aim of life. I'm a fan of my creature comforts, I guess. So life's getting better all the time... better, better, betttttter.

11.Start a family
I'm gonna pass on this one and come back to it later, as I have no idea :(

12.Raising kids
Beautiful Boy - John Lennon

Not that I'll necessarily have a son named Sean, but that song sums up what parenting is to me

13.Getting old (40-69 age)
My Generation - The Who

Isn't that what old people do? Sit around "talking bout my generation"... back in my day.... :D Plus, I'm gonna be an old fart who's playing music twice the age I am when I'm 64. None of this sitting staring at the cricket routine for me :D

14.Last days
Hurt - Johnny Cash

Not that I intend to have the troubles poor old Johnny had in his life, but this cover just screams out last days to me for some reason

15.Death
All Things Must Pass - George Harrison

Going to be my funeral song if I get any say in it (which I won't, because I intend to die before my funeral), so may as well make the soundtrack as well

I've thought about this before Džedaj! It's a grea idea! Thanks for given me a guide to go by! :grinthumb I'll have to admit that these time periods have no definite definitions especially like peak of your life so I'll just put songs I think match those feelings or vibes! :D

1.Birth

I feel like my birth into life and who I am started with this song and the time period in which I heard it! I would have my movie use the intro of it (about the first 50 seconds) as a score! I feel the best movie soundtracks have a similar theme so I'll be breaking down this song in different parts throughout my movie!

Smashing Pumpkins-Mayonaise

2.Childhood (2-10 age)

This sums up a youthful feeling perfectly IMO (not lyrically)! Poppy, soulful and crazy with the chorus being about not getting enough which is childhood! You just want to take everything in you can!

New Radical-Mother We Just Can't Get Enough

3.Puberty / Primary & High School(11-19 age)

Nothing sums up the awkwardness of that time period better than this fun track!

Lola Ray-What It Feels Like

4.Falling in love
Nothing sums up that moment of perfectness and innocence like this track!

Dashboard Confessional-Hands Down

5.First time you got in big trouble

I would put a reflection time into any part of the movie where I get into trouble or things take a turn for the worse. I would use South FM as the band for this as they are my biggest inspiration for things like that!

South FM-Driving and Habit
