I thought she was o.k. and I'm of the belief that these shows do bring out talented people. I think however the politics will push people like this forward just by the name alone. I think this singer from the UK version did the style MP alluded to far better and I don't see Simmons ever putting forth anything moving like this and I don't see her talent as standing on it's own. Then again the judges in the U.K. version don't consist of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato!
Usually talent skips a generation or the offspring are so tired of the lifestyles of their famous parents they will do almost anything except try to follow in their footsteps. Parents can arrange an opportunity but that's about as far as it goes, you have to have talent to succeed no matter what profession you choose.

So Sophie went on X-Factor, which I watched. Sophie isn't going to win since she is more novelty for the show than anything. And yes, The X-factor does need better female judges. I'd say get Joan Jett to replace Britney and Tanya Tucker to replace Demi.
