Sonny was elected into the House of Representatives in 1994 for the state of California, and he was Mayor of Palm Springs.
Sony was a great songwriter, producer, and politician.....but his solo vocals were terrible

That blows my mind that he has a small gravestone!! Being a congressman and all you would think he would have a monument or something bigger..Sonny was elected into the House of Representatives in 1994 for the state of California, and he was Mayor of Palm Springs.

His wife at the time, which I believe was his 4th wife, is a strange person. Cher balked at the gravestone issue, and Mary Bono (a scientologist) had things done her way. case closed!
I thought he deserved better than the small grave marker, too.
