I almost hit a tower myself when I was a teenager,,,I was going about 50 miles an hour and just managed a controlled crash at the last minute,,,otherwise I wouldn't be here now.

I think Sonny was a Congressman as well....

Sonny was the Mayor of Palm Springs.. Ya I know all about how dangerous skiing is.. I lived in Salt lake City Utah for many years and did a lot of skiing.
Never broke a leg but had loads of close calls..

Okay Mayor...some days my little gray cells are sharper than others...

Skiing is a great sport, and I always enjoyed the element of Extreme Danger that went with it. I even got buried in an avalanche once.

^^I was claustrophobic before that and it sure didn't help the phobia...but my friends dug me out right away, thank god.

I have lost my enthusiasm for boating and water sports now Thumper...I grew up water skiing, skin diving and fishing but we had a near fatal fishing trip on the ocean once and now...well I only want to go to sea on the Nimitz...or something Bigger.

Yep I have used up a few lives along the way. The last fishing trip on the ocean was the last...first we caught something much bigger than our boat on the deep line...and then we almost got sunk by these monstrous waves that came out of nowhere...I will never go to sea in a small boat again.
