Silversun Pickups are a Grammy nominated Alternative Rock band from Los Angeles. The band released their debut full-length album, Carnavas, on July 26, 2006. Two of the album's four singles, "Lazy Eye" and "Well Thought Out Twinkles," would hit the top 10 of the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in 2007.

Their second full length album, Swoon, was released on April 14, 2009.
Both albums rule. Brian Aubert commented on it, saying:
some songs are very quiet and delicate, [while] others are just ****ing loud.

I really like the Swoon Album, it is a bit more settled in sound than Carnavas. You already posted my fave's from the album so here are a couple more audio links to Swoon...........

Catch and Release

I love the deepness of the sound on this album and the irratic nature of the vocals, one minute they are quiet then the next they explode.

I agree I prefer the Swoon album to Carnavas. Yes the vocals and the guitars are a wonderful mix. One of my Favorite albums of 2009.

I like Carnavas a little better, but Swoon is still great. They really work that 90's hard/soft dynamic well. Not many bands doing that these days.

Substitution is great :) (all your picks are great, but I like substitution best..)

Jack Kennedy, the former Rhythm Guitarist of the silversun pickups went solo and is also worth checking out if you like disco, elctro and techno influenced music!

I really like these guys! Honestly while the Lazy Eye single drew me in as well as the curiosity about the Smashing Pumpkins comparisons it wasn't until Swoon where I really got into them! I love Swoon! My favorite tracks is Growing Old Is Getting Old! Great pick by the way OB! :grinthumb My other favorites are:

I recently discovered that Rage is on Fridays as well as Saturdays, and the first song that appeared was Panic Switch by these guys. Until now I didn't know who it was cause I only saw the last half, but I am impressed!

Here's the video:

I'm loving the new album by these guys! For a band that never jumped to the majors when they had all the opportunity in the world they keep a massive sound! :grinthumb:
