True..the recent ones have all been amazing. I actually got back into them when they did "Unleash The Beast"....that was a monster of an album!

Caught Saxon's new single on the radio yesterday and I am very impressed. If the rest of the tracks on the new album (due to be released 22nd February) are up to par with that song it's going to be a scorcher

Here it is live, the title track off the upcoming album, Sacrifice

^^I am really looking forward to the new album, Saxon is one amazing band. I have a hard time thinking of any of their contemporaries that are putting out as many strong albums as they are the last few years.

Yeah they still have what it takes in bundles! And Biff is still in excellent vocal form, you'd never guess he was 62 :grinthumb

If its anything like Call To Arms in terms of quality because that was a killer album I will like this album.

^^If was as fortunate as Sweaty and Sox, and had the chance to meet Biff in person he would be one of the only people on earth who I would ask for an autograph...in fact I'd ask him to wait while I went and got a Saxon album and then get him to sign it for me.:peek :oyea:

Not because I'm a stalker or anything but out of respect for what he's done with Saxon for all these decades now.

^^^:heheh: It was in a record store where we saw him come to think of it, HMV in London. We didn't go over to speak though as he looked like a man on a mission. I agree with Riff though if it measures up to the last one it'll more than do for me. :grinthumb

Continuing to explore the Saxon discography. Now at Metalhead from 1999.

Superb album. Heavy as hell. As told before I knew their music up to Power And The Glory. Listened to more albums because of this thread.

There is not a weak song on this album, I'm amazed this one flew past my radar at the time of release.

In short, for those who don't know yet, if you want some really good metal songs get this one:

Some of my fav songs: Piss Off and Metalhead

Metalhead is pretty cool of an album. I favour that one a bit more than some of the older stuff.
