^^While not even Close to Bob D's Amoeba shop I found a really nice little store in Old Strathcona a few weeks ago. I can't make it today but next week I will visit and make their day for sure. Last time I was there I saw about 15 vinyl albums I want on the shelves.
But yes I am saddened and dismayed by what's happened over the last ten years. I know Sooty gets tired of us oldsters harkening back to the "good old days" but compared to making an event out of visiting and absorbing the atmosphere of a good record shop, chatting with people, the staff and listening to the music or requesting a particular album to be played downloading from i-tunes/amazon is sterile.
I will collect as many old classic albums as I can while the getting is good.
