I saw Rush in October at the ace new Barclays Center arena in Brooklyn, and I was perplexingly un-moved by the whole experience, even bored by the end. I have decided that I like Rush a lot, but I don't love them, and I probably won't go to see them again, they played a few new songs from the new album, but the rest of it was just a carbon copy of the other Rush shows I have seen. Their technical musicianship and wizardry is peerless, but for me nowadays that isn't enough, I have no clue what their dense philosophical lyrics mean, and you can't relate most of it to the actual human condition and life as we all experience it day to day. Their DVD's are always fun though as they are such hilarious guys, the extras on the disc are usually more interesting than the actual film of the show, so I will for sure buy it.
