For me,there is no better one here. Each was its own vital part of the Beatles' progression from boy-girl pop tunes into deeper aspects of their chosen medium that later culminated with the side long suite on "Abbey Road".While "Soul" was a sonically more relaxed effort and certainly had its merits on THAT level,"Revolver",as the Fabs(particularly John Lennon)delved more and more into psychedelic drugs, the music took an even deeper turn into splendid exploratory venture..However,this is not to say it is a better album.George Harrison once stated that he always thought of the pair of LP'S as "Vol. I" and "Vol II".In my mind, that's about the size of it...........

At least one thing that could put "Revolver" over the top is the album's sign off track,"Tomorrow Never Knows",which was a great precursor to their ultra-seminal "Sgt. Pepper".As some have said,"Pepper" basically picks up where "Revolver" left off, mostly due to "Tomorrow"..............
