I think the contrast of the melodic piano with what turns out to be a voice that transitions from a Corgan vocal to what I think is a rough voice is something you may be able to appreciate!

He does have a unique voice. I wouldn't call it rough & Gruff, though. Unique describes his vocals.....Family is pretty awesome, BTW.
