Rod Stewart Hints At Beck Reunion

Rod Stewart has suggested that he wants to work with former bandmate Jeff Beck once more.

Speaking to Billboard about the latest volume of his alarmingly successful American Songbook covers albums, the former Faces frontman revealed that he wants to record a number different albums in different genres, including blues and country. And one of the albums that he wants to record is with his former band leader, Jeff Beck.

“I may record with Jeff Beck, and I may have to write a few songs… I’ve got a meeting with Jeff in a couple weeks in London, and we’re going to see if we can work together and see what each of us wants to do. We’re a little bit older now and we can tolerate each other.”

What happened the first time?? I don't remember them not getting along really...any juicy stories??

It would be really cool if the original Jeff Beck Group could re-unite.

Beck, Stewart, Wood, and Dunbar...it would be awesome to hear what they could come up with.

What happened the first time?? I don't remember them not getting along really...any juicy stories??

I believe Rod and Jeff did try to tour together a number of years ago, at the beginning of the Flash tour, but that was pretty short-lived. If I remember somewhat correctly, Rod and Jeff had a disagreement after a couple of months touring together and they went their separate ways at that time.
