Beatles ‘64.

Some of you may have a notion about this documentary which centers around The Beatles first appearances in America in 1964. The stories here are still interesting and nice to see and hear.
The film is mostly littered with personal interviews of those who experienced The Beatles in that time and there are new things to see and hear in this film.

Even if you're not an Iron Maiden fan, this is an amazing watch. A great behind the scenes look into this tour that should appeal to any fan of a professional rock band. Plus, the members of Iron Maiden and amongst the most personable and affable major rock stars there are.

Being a huge Elvis fan, my two are:

"Elvis: That's The Way It Is"
"Elvis On Tour"

And I, of course, love the '68 Comeback Special & the 1973 NBC television special, "Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii."

And I'm also a big SRV fan and, in my opinion, there very badly needs to be a complete & definitive documentary on SRV (warts and all, as they say).

I just finished watching Prince’s Sign O The Times film. It was supposed to be a recording of a live performance. He did not quite achieve this. Most of the performances for the film are mimed. We do see some good performances and hear Prince’s music; it’s a good production. Just not completely live vocals and instruments. I’m sure Prince fans like it but I expected more and something genuine at least.

George Harrison: Living In The Material World. I’m not sure if I have watched all of this before but it was a little disappointing. It glossy over many things and just doesn’t flow well. You do learn things from the story telling and gain appreciation for George as an artist and human but again, it is often a little too disorganized and disjointed in my opinion.
