I don't know if there's thread like this already, but I can't find it, so -

What are your favorite rock and roll movies or documentaries?
Mine : Woodstock : 3 Days of Peace and Music, Taking Woodstock, Almost Famous, Boat That Rocked, The Wall, It Might Get Loud, Control, Stoned, Pick Of Destiny ...

Any recommendation according to my favorites?
:D

Not my field of expertise DZ, I haven't watched many documentaries about rock music.

I would think that Woodstock is the best one, and I have at least seen it a couple of times.:D

Kenny Wayne Shepherd has a pretty good documentary music video that also comes with an album:

I have seen the one about Joe Strummer which was good. I can't remember the name right now...

And I have seen two about Joy Division recently, Control and a biography about the rise and fall of the band.

I'll return later and post some pictures DZ.

Thanks guys :) This really helps. I always enjoy watching movies/documentaries based on rock. Oh, and there's series of BBC's documentaries about rock, it's called 7 Ages Of Rock and it's divided on born of rock, art/psychedelic rock, punk rock, heavy metal, stadium rock, alternative rock and indie rock.

While we're at The Stones documentaries, check out legendary "Gimme Shelter" (concert in Altamont Freeway), the concert that almost end up in The Stones' blood (but it end with blood of Meredith Hunter)

This movie about the band that started the metal sound that inspired Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera and Slayer is hilarious but kind of inspiring at the same time seeing guys in their 50's still striving to hit it big! :grinthumb
