Tracks will be used for remastered Led Zep reissues in 2014, as long as John Paul Jones gives the OK.

Plant has already gone over this material with Jimmy Page: "I had a meeting with Jimmy," he recalled. "We baked them up and listened to them." But it's not the band's guitarist who is the obstacle to their release. "I'm desperately trying to [use] this one track – or the two tracks – [with] John Paul Jones singing lead," he revealed. "And so far [Jones is] up to giving me two cars and a greenhouse [to leave] them [off] the album."

Why not put them on a separate b-sides album instead of doing MORE remastered? Its annoying if anything that ya have to re-purchase the same album to get exclusive b-sides or anything like that. To me it is annoying anyway. If they have enough of them that is.

I agree, Riffy. But you know that the LZ fans will buy another remaster for big bucks especially if it contains unreleased tracks from the early 70's :D

I have no interest at all in this set of songs...but the Zeppelin fanatics will more than make up for my apathy, that's if JPJ goes along and let's them release the new songs.

More about money than any legendary songs they never put on an album when they were at their peak decades ago.

Even though Coda was pretty average at best it at least was wise to put those b-sides in album format at least there was the choice in future to buy them on their own disc. Doing unreleased songs on remasters is just money grabbing to me. I find it hard to respect artists or bands who do those ploys knowing the die hard fans will fork out the money. Seems kinda exploiting to me.

^^I might not ever listen to Coda again in my lifetime, it's just a bunch of songs thrown together to fulfill their contract with Atlantic, and it pales beside their other records.

These lost tapes will probably fall short of Coda's quality which is hard to imagine. I think it's about the money even though they all have millions to spare, but part of it is wanting to share what's left of the legacy with their die hard fans, one band that seems to have crossed all barriers and remained popular with every generation of young people that find their music.

Its great to share that stuff with the fans but doing it through even more remasters is in my opinion the wrong method to do that. Making fans have to buy an album or albums they already own just doesn't seem right to me.

^^Yes release them separately as "B-sides" or "The Lost Tapes" on their own, collectors will buy them by the millions anyway.

I'm sure if you stamped a sack of 'fertilizer' with the Led Zeppelin name it would be a best seller too.

:D
