Scott McKenzie, best known for his 1967 hit single 'San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)', died on Saturday aged 73. He also wrote Kokomo, a number one single for The Beach Boys in 1988. McKenzie had suffered from Guillain–Barré syndrome, a disorder which effects the nervous system, since 2010.

San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair) is arguably one of the most beautiful protest songs to come out of the movement. Rest In Peace Scott.
