Riggs (Official Thread)

Does anyone remember this classic self titled album from 1982, it`s been unavailable on cd until now and thankfully it`s getting a June release on Wounded Bird Records?

Fronted by Jerry Riggs, they had a moderate hit with the album opener Ready Or Not and this band also had two songs featured on the animated film soundtrack Heavy Metal.

Well Ive heard of them Rockperson. A band that dissapeared very quickly......like bands Reckless ,Storm etc....they deserved much better. I love the riff to "ready or not ". Im afraid I never got to even see a copy of their album...

I remember Riggs solely for the reason that he/they had a couple of songs on the soundtrack to the 1981 film, Heavy Metal.




Radar Rider. Decent song, was most memorable for be because of the opening guitar riffs





Heartbeat (personally, I liked this song better)



Other than that, I don't know anything about them.
