Ride were a British alternative rock band that formed in 1988 in Oxford, England, consisting of Andy Bell, Mark Gardener, Laurence "Loz" Colbert, and Steve Queralt.

I love Ride! I have Fisha to thank for introducing me to them, but since I started listening they introduced me to shoegaze which became some of my favourite music for a while. This album is a masterpiece:

^^^^ Yes, a friend recently introduce me to Ride too Sal. Can't believe I hadn't heard to them 'til then I will have to look a lot further into their music.

They're a surprisingly tucked away secret, I'd never heard a whisper of them before they were introduced to me! Such fantastic music though

Are they still around or are they no more I have a feeling they split up.

They split up all the way back in 1996! There was only one re-uniting, a one off TV show in 2001 Since then, their bassist and chief songwriter Andy Bell has worked with Oasis and currently plays in Beady Eye.

1996 They sound so current!!!! Will have to check out Beady Eye.
