I have just discovered Reef's music and have been listening to their 1997 album Glow all morning :grinthumb

Reef are a band from Glastonbury, England. The band members include Gary Stringer on vocals, Kenwyn House on guitar, Jack Bessant on bass and Dominic Greensmith on drums.

I get a lump in my throat when I listen to 'Consideration' :uh: Glad you like the album too Sooty :grinthumb

Actually Sunny! That song is awesome! I have the album but it was a bargain find and I gave it a couple spins at most. I particularly bought it for that one track. After hearing that it looks like I own a cool gem that I'll be spinning a lot more! :cheers2

The lyrics are very touching - maybe I am just in a sappy mood :D I can't believe I had never heard of this band until a couple of weeks ago - totally slipped under my radar. IMHO they are underrated.

I don't have any of their albums but I really liked Place Your Hands when it came out - well still do! Didn't they do a reunion tour not so long ago?

Reef appeared in tv advert in mid 90's with a song 'Naked' featured in the advert. this is when i first discovered Reef. i bought their first album 'replenish', and it became one of my most played albums of the 90's (in my teens then). i still love the album today, and remains my personal fave of theirs (although the others albums are excellent still). they went to become one the biggest UK bands around in the mid-late 90's. they were featured heavily on a major TV show in England, and their hits became very well known. i was fortunate enough to see them live around 2000 when they played in Folkestone, Kent, UK (about 30mins drive from my house). please check this band out, esp their debut album!!

The thing that annoys me about radio stations in the UK (rock programmes aside), is that the only Reef song you'll ever hear is Place Your Hands. They have so many better songs than that. Come Back Brighter being a personal favourite.
