I quite enjoy Monte Warden and The Dangerous Few's JACKPOT album. I can't quite classify it--sounds like a bossa nova in places, but not quite. Try "Wacahachie Hoochie Coo" and the title track first. If you aren't impressed enough to stay with it, then move on.

But I don't think you will.

Interesting alt country with 'jazz rockabilly swing' elements...too clever for the masses....Warden was in the Wagoneers for a time which imho was new wave country which you can hear on Jackpot beneath the horns and production.
I think those into odd alt country might like it but it's not my cup of tea though it's well done.
