Recommend some epic/storytelling songs

At the moment I'm really in the mood for some grand, epic passionate songs that tell a story, in the style of Fairytale of New York, Bat Out Of Hell, Jungleland, Thunder Road (and most Brucie for that matter) and Hurricane.

I Dream A Highway by Gillian Welch. She's a tour de force and about as close to a female Bob Dylan as you can get in terms of songwriting. It's from what is widely regarded s her best album "Time (The Revelator)@ and is almost 15 minutes long. Listen to it and let me know if it's epic enough for ya!

That Gillian Welch song isn't exactly what i had in mind (I was thinking big in sound and orchestration as well as length and emotional scope) but...wow...you just can't argue with quality like that. One of the best new songs I've discovered in ages. Thanks!
