I like them too, a friend introduced me to them a couple of years ago, and I like them singing in their own language.

If fact seein' Sooty won't be popping in this thread I'll go so far to admit that I didn't mind a few Austrian/German bands when they were doing hip-hop songs...

I have Herzeleid, Sehnsucht, Mutter, and Reise, Reise from them. Like'em all. Mutter is probably my favorite with Sehnsucht running a very close second.

I've not heard much by them but what I have heard I kinda like! I like the German language, I studied it at advanced level at school (although I've forgotten most of it now!) so that's one of the things that appeals to me. Of the ones I've heard I like Hier kommt die Sonne (hope I got that right) the most. As a starter what albums would any of you recommend?

No expert Tracey but "Senhsuct" seems to be highly regarded, I saw some videos from one of their live shows on DVD and it was really good, "Volkerball" a two disc set from 2007.

If I were you, I would start off with their first album, "Herzeleid". It is their best album in my opinion. Then go on to "Sehnsucht", "Mutter" and "Reise Reise". I don't like anything they did after "Reise Reise" though, so I don't know what to tell you about those haha. Hope this helps ya!

A little morning exchange is always good LG especially when I should be sleeping! If you found one of those bands and did a thread it would be either epic or apocalyptic LG! I haven't figured out which yet!
