Wow, it's really tough because there were so many groups of music that were so hot in the 80's! I decided to somewhat put together a song list in an order in which I think represents the 80's in my book. If I was asked to put together an 80's setlist together to spin tunes & keep people moving then this would be my list:

"Welcome to the jungle" by Guns & Roses
"You've Got Another thing Coming" by Judas Priest
"You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC
"Heaven's On Fire" by Kiss
"Looks that Kill" by Motley Crue
"Fight for You're Right to Party" by the Beastie Boys
"It's Tricky" by Run DMC
"I Can't Wait" by Nu Shooz
"White Lines" by Grand Master Flash Melle Mel & the Furious 5
"Let's Go Crazy" by Prince
"Should I Stay or Should I Go" by the Clash
"Private Idaho" by the B52's
"Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol
"People Who Died" by Jim Carroll Band
"What I like About You" by the Romantics
"R O C K in the USA" by John Cougar Mellencamp
"Start Me Up" by the Rolling Stones
"Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer
"Li'l Devil" by the Cult
"Tainted Love" by Soft Cell
"99 Red Balloons" by Nena
"I Got You" by Split Enz
"Mexican Radio" by Wall of VooDoo
"Indians" by Anthrax
"Seek & Destroy" by Metallica
"All I Need" by Jack Wagner!!!!!!

That's why I tried to include the best song from each year and then I can add another 9 tracks from that year - which is really difficult for me when I get into the later 80s stuff! :wtf:

I forgot about Don Henley which I only know him for one song, but it's just a great song - Boys of Summer of course! :D

Great song!! I got his Greatest Hits album(Actual Miles) back in the 90's from BMG(one of those CD Clubs) for that song "Sunset Grill", & "Dirty Laundry". When I got the CD I knew every song but about 2 on the CD. I forgot about many of his hits such as NY Minute,All She Wants to Do is Dance, & End of Innocence
