:wank: how many times does this site have to ask the same question only to get the same answers from the same people.

BEats me when I don't like something I don't bother to dwell on more of their stuff to know if I really don't like them

I'm glad someone else said it. This subject has been beaten to death. :heheh:

Plenty of rap, hip hop, R&B, dance and pop artists/bands I can't stand but with regards to rock, try as I might I just cannot get into these:

Pink Floyd
Yes
ELP
KISS
Genesis
Marillion
Status Quo
Hawkwind
Bruce Springsteen
Billy Joel
Neil Young
Crosby, Stills & Nash

Majority of who'm the husband is a big fan of so their music is impossible to avoid 1zzjif7.jpg

^ I know what you mean and I am not a U2 fan, but at least Bono and Bob Geldof have used to their fame in order to influence politicians in looking again at helping countries with enormous deprivation (at least the last Labour government in this country). Otherwise, the politicians would go to drought-hit countries, have their photo taken and come home to light their hand-rolled Cuban cigars with bank notes.

I have no problem with Bono or anyone else trying to use their influence to help improve people's lives, but off stage not when U2 is performing a concert. I really like their early records right up to Rattle & Hum, after that not so much although Edge is one of the best guitarists of his generation.

Eminem doesn't exist in my music world, and I consider "white rappers" nearly an oxymoron, that...genre is a blight on the music world in my opinion. Perhaps if they staged an "All Rappers" get together somewhere remote they would solve the problem and exterminate each other trying to maintain their precious "street cred" as their posses' demand of their leader's. :wtf:

I agree Edge is a good guitar player. It's funny how you hear good musicians in groups you don't like. Others for me are Johnny Marr and the guitarist with The Tom Robinson Band. Perhaps this is an idea for a thread!
