I've never seen or heard Live in Pompeii, but I know they recorded versions of tracks from Meddle and Dark Side of the Moon. This is unlike KQED, which it followed.

They played Echoes on the AMLOR tour for the first 11 shows, but they didn't rehearse enough. It was dropped from the setlist after the first show in Rosemont, IL if my memory serves me correct. So they bumped Shine On You Crazy Diamond I-V from the Second Encore, to the Opener on that 2nd night.

Gilmour and Wright played Echoes on Gilmour's solo tour.

Thanks for the information Masherbrum, is there a recording of the Gilmour/Wright version of Echoes??

I've seen that DVD a few times but never picked it up...it still doesn't qualify as a "Pink Floyd" live version of Echoes but at least half the band is involved.:D

I love this DVD!

I'm getting a 70" TV soon and that is going to be the first DVD I watch on it!

I have Remember that Night on Blu-Ray and Gdansk.

The unique thing about Gdansk is the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra that backs every track. You may not hear them at times, but they are playing in the mix.

You are doing yourself a great disservice. Watching Rick and David feed off of each other during Echoes is fantastic. It has the subtle things all throughout, that elaborate productions miss. Kind of like during One of These Days on Pulse where Rick would "send it over to David" and vice versa.

Also Grendel, you're welcome bro. I know my Pink Floyd related material.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

^ I saw some footage from Pompeii on the interweb yesterday. It was quite eerie as Floyd did not have an audience. Echoes was divided into two parts and there were some interesting interviews with the band. Certainly the music and vocals were good, because the Meddle/Dark Side-era was their best (imo).

^^I've thought about getting Pompeii for ages but still haven't picked it up. I'll always rate Delicate Sound of Thunder ahead of it and I know most hard core PF fans would take issue with me for that...:peek
