Japanese distillers Suntory are to release an exclusive blended whiskey celebrating 50 years of the Rolling Stones.

The whiskey contains spirits from Suntory distillers which were distilled in various years of import to the famous rock and roll band, reports the Nonjatta blog.

The whiskeys in the blend includes Yamazaki malts from 1962, the year the band formed, 1972, when the famous lips and tongue logo first appeared, 1972 and 1981, in addition to Hakushu malt from 1990, the first year they played at Japan’s Tokyo Dome.

The blend also includes Chita grain whiskey from 1990 and comes bottled in a crystal decanter.

Only 150 bottles have been created and will retail for 500,000 yen ($6,300).

:oyea: That'd be the day I popped $6000+ for a bottle of whiskey that looks cute.

That would keep me stocked up on my Cabernet Sauvingnon for quite a few years.:D

Looks like the Stones are giving KISS a run for our money.

Not a chance. Gene will p*ss in a whiskey bottle and sell it for 10 grand before he lets another band out-merchandise KISS.

6 grand for a bottle of whiskey? I quit drinking a little over 10 years ago, and the most I ever paid was, I think, around 30 bucks for a half gallon of Jack Daniels.

If you're foolish enough to pay $6,000 for a bottle of booze, hang on to it. There's bound to be someone more foolish than you that'll buy it from you for $7,000

I agree, in the real world I would not be stupid enought to spend that much on a bottle of whiskey, on a rare album then maybe lol...
