Been a lot of great music being released from some classic rockers - a few who I haven't been impressed with in years and at least one who I've never been disappointed by throughout his long career.

Seems lately I've been finding myself buying CDs from many of the same artists I loved in the 70s. Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang, Paul McCartney - Chaos & Creation In The Backyard, Neil Young - Prairie Wind and Jackson Browne's Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1.

I recommend all of them. Also putting out a great new release is Depeche Mode who put out Playing the Angel this week. Most excellent album that I'd say is certainly up there with the best of their albums such as Violator.

Opinions? Or any other offerings you would like to point out?

Just picked up the new Journey CD this afternoon.

I like Steve Augerri - he sounds like Steve Perry of the 70s.

Haven't listened to the CD yet. Hopefully I'm not terribly disappionted by it. I had high hopes for it and you know what happens with high expectations-

I think A Bigger Bang is wonderful, as good as my other favorite Stones albums Goats Head Soup, Sticky Fingers, Exile, and Their Satanic Majesties Request.

I don't own the new McCartney album but I listened to it and it was awesome. Very crisp sound with an eerie tone. I'd like to get it.

I don't have Priarie Wind yet but what I've heard of it is good. Also When God Made Me is breathtaking.

Tom Petty's coming out with a new album eventually and I'm confident it's going to be very good.

So I'd say that yes a lot of classic rockers are doing good things now adays.

is this for sure?, i heard on a couple radio stations that they would probably come out with a new album, but I figured it was just a rumor, if it is true then its definately gonna be great, the last DJ kinda sucked, but Highway Companions was really good, the only thing i didnt like was the production, then his stuff in mudcrutch with that new album was rediculously good, so I bet is will be amazing

KISS is coming out with a new album in the summer. Not a new release, but I plan on getting the re released deluxe edition version of The Who's "Sell Out" album, which came out in March.
