We've got something new on the site called Battle Brackets, and the first one is already running: Greatest Album of the 70s. Sixteen classic albums go head to head, tournament style, until only one is left standing.

Playing is easy. Click the Battles tab up top (or the link above) and you'll see the whole bracket. Every matchup in the current round has a Vote button, so just pick the album you'd take in each one. Changed your mind? You can switch your vote as many times as you like until the round closes, and once you vote in a matchup you get to see how it's going.

Each round runs a week. When it closes the winners move on by themselves, so it goes Round 1, then the quarterfinals, semis and the final. Ties go to the higher seed, which means every single vote matters. Anyone can look, but you need to be logged in to vote. If you're not a member yet, hit Vote and you can sign up right there in a few seconds.

Results from every round get posted in the bracket thread over in Song and Band Battles, so that's the spot to argue about the upsets.

Got an idea for the next bracket? Best Zeppelin song, greatest guitarist, best live album? Drop it below and we'll line it up.

Head to the battleground and cast your votes!
