Can't wait to hear this....need a new fix of Springsteen!!

It's not playing for you? I just downloaded it from iTunes so now I have my own copy. :D

When I first heard it, I liked it a lot. No headphones the first time. Then I replayed it about 10 times with headphones and now I love it! Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. :grinthumb

Really Really good...I like it. Stays true to form and his style for sure. :grinthumb

Sad part is (but this is a good thing in some ways) is I can see Clarence boppin' around back on forth on stage to this one.

I'm glad you guys like it. I do too, a lot. It gets better each time you listen to it. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest now too.:grinthumb

This is the cover for the new album:

MP, I know what you mean. The buzz around the internet is that people can see in the song where Clarence's sax would fit in nicely. He will definitely be missed. :(

Played it 4 times back to back JG, and I love it, it's a pretty big production number, is there even strings in there? Pretty much everything Bruce releases is a slow burner for me and needs a couple of plays (WOAD excepted), but then the greatness kicks in...lyrics here...

I've been knockin' on the door that holds the throne
I've been lookin' for the map that leads me home
I've been stumblin' on good hearts turned to stone
The road of good intentions has gone dry as bone
We take care of our own
We take care of our own
Wherever this flag's flown
We take care of our own

From Chicago to New Orleans
From the muscle to the bone
From the shotgun shack to the Superdome
We yelled "help" but the cavalry stayed home
There ain't no-one hearing the bugle blown
We take care of our own
We take care of our own
Wherever this flag's flown
We take care of our own

Where the eyes, the eyes with the will to see
Where the hearts, that run over with mercy
Where's the love that has not forsaken me
Where's the work that set my hands, my soul free
Where's the spirit that'll reign, reign over me
Where's the promise, from sea to shining sea
Where's the promise, from sea to shining sea
Wherever this flag is flown
Wherever this flag is flown
Wherever this flag is flown

We take care of our own
We take care of our own
Wherever this flag's flown
We take care of our own
We take care of our own
We take care of our own
Wherever this flag's flown
We take care of our own

Now for the bad news - the new album cover totally blows and is as butt-ugly as hell, and that's being charitable, how did he ever approve that? I just don't get it at all, and I will be downloading the new album and not buying the CD, so I won't ever have to look at it, for one thing his name is Springsteen, not

:heheh: You're funny TS! Yeah, I'm not too fond of the album cover either but it's better than the image for the single (the one in the YouTube video). In that he looks like John Cusack. :wtf::heheh: On the album cover he at least looks like him.

There's a new producer for this album, so maybe he wanted to take it in a different direction. Who knows. I'm just happy there is new music and more importantly, a new tour! I can't wait to see him again and to hear both the new songs and the old classics.

After 35+ years, Bruce is still going strong! He is definitely The Boss! :grinthumb
