Just got a CD by a Canadian indie group called Metric. They've got an album out called Live It Out. Seems Canada is producing a lot of great indie bands lately.

Okay, these guys are so NOT new but they're new to me apparently. Just got Blue Pine Trees and The Cosmic Story Teller by Unicorn. These guys must have been around during some of my "not so lucid" moments during the 70s.

I found it odd that they're British but play country rock - ala the Eagles, Jackson Browne, etc. Also it helps that David Gilmour played guitar and produced Blue Pine Trees. :D Such a nice find for me. :)

I started listening to a little bit of Kesha recently, ha. Everybody hated on her so much that I became curious! She's like an unpretentious version of Lady Gaga, so I approve. Only has one song I like so far though. But that could change.

I'm starting to dig new wave of psychedelic/stoner rock from past 10 years. I've got infected with bands like Causa Sui, Siena Root, Sleepy Sun, Colour Haze, Samsara Blues Experiment. Recently I even started to dig godfather of stoner - Kyuss, but for now just trippy and slower tunes - that metal riffing I still can't stand.

Definitely not in the "new artist" category, but a band I am really discovering for the first time in my 40 years of being a music fan (Thanks to my Dead Head experts in the forum :D), I've gone from one album to now having 6 in the library.

Ummm, I like OneRepublic, who are probably as popular around here as bed bugs in a hotel room but the heart likes what the heart likes.
