EMO = Over the top emotional reaction to day to day things that happen in your life...or at least that is what I gather it means...

A couple of years ago the Russian authorities tried to ban the EMO kids/culture/lifestyle but I don't think that worked out any better than their 5 year plans from decades ago.

For sure. It reminds me of a funny story as well. A friend of mine and myself made a spoof version of Welcome to the Black Parade. Unfortunately I don't remember the lyrics we came up with, but I remember that it was pretty funny. And it flowed really well.
