Gull Records
Members:
Gordon Rowley - bass

This forgotten gem is excellent! Gnarley riffing tracks enhanced with prog style Hammond organ and synths. Vocalist, Alec Johnson, is outstanding with some killer high pipes and vocal hooks.
Nightwing’s style reminds me of Deep Purple or Uriah Heep.
Black Summer is the band’s second album, and considered their best. Nightwing faced the trials & tribulations of a lot of early metal bands; failing record labels, poor promotion and numerous band member changes which contributed to a lack luster future.
The band still tours, and even released an album in 2008. However, no one knows about them.
Overnight Sensation…hold on to your hats you’re about to be blown away!
Long Hard Road…..proggy style!
Evil Woman…best of the guitar dueling with the Hammond!
The title track…Black Summer….Hammond is front stage giving a fierce prog display!
