I never was a huge Mountain fan, but I really like Nantucket Sleighride.

Leslie West's intro "solo" album "Mountain" doesn't get the recognition it deserves.



Felix Pappalardi played bass and keyboards for Leslie on this album and of course went on to be one of the founding members of the band that took its name from this album. Nonetheless, "Mountain" contains overlooked gems such as these:

Mountain is still touring, keep checking their site .. you never know when and where a group might turn up.

I've caught Mountain in 2006 at a small club and at Hippiefest 2007 .. Leslie West looks great and they still sound fantastic ...

I've seen Mountain in concert three times in the last six or seven years and I enjoyed every one of them. Leslie West is a powerful, energetic guitarist and Corky Laing is a born showman and great entertainer. I'd strongly suggest you take in a Mountain concert if and when you get a chance.
