Used to love these guys some years ago. But I was very disappointed in 2010, when they re-recorded Battle Hymns instead of the new album that was promised in that years. Lord Of Steel, that came about two years after that, is a good and decent album, but then, re-recording Kings Of Metal, really? So I can say I still love their music, but I can't agree anymore with what they do.
Saw them in 2009 and 2012. My favorite albums are Kings Of Metal, Louder Than Hell and Triumph Of Steel.

I saw Manowar live @ the Whiskey Ago Ago in Hollywood years back. Awesome gig...tiny little hole in the wall famous for lauching The Doors etc.Great band love all albums you mentioned ..all favorites of mine as well. I would add Hail to England and you would have my top 4. Louder Then Hell is underrated. I really like Lord of Steel but as you say re-recording old material is unnecessary.

I recently bought "Kings Of Metal" and Sign Of The Hammer" on cd. I wasnt really a big fan back in the 80's because I thought they werent heavy or fast enough. I would hear them talk about "true metal" but the stuff I heard sounded only slightly heavier than hair metal and I was a full blown thrasher.
Well fast forward decades later and I am currently revisiting and have been for years lots of 80's/early 90's hard rock and heavy metal bands from the pre-alt grunge 90's.
Manowar is right in that style that I expected them to be and I can deal with the cheese factor. I look forward to purchasing and hearing more Manowar.
