They sing in spanish but i just wanted to show you guys some of their good songs (from the 90's, their recent songs are good but not like before).

Here is a small description of the band (from wiki):

Maná is a popular pop/rock band from México whose career has spanned more than two decades. They have earned three Grammy Awards, five Latin Grammy Awards, 1 MTV Video Music Awards Latin America, three Premios Juventud awards, 9 Billboard Latin Music Awards and 12 Premios Lo Nuestro awards.

Their sound has been described as being anywhere from pop rock, latin pop, calypso to reggae. They initially received notoriety and commercial success in Australia and Spain and have since gained popularity and exposure in the US, Western Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. They have sold more than 22 million albums.

Let me know what you guys think of the songs, if you like the guitar work, instruments etc :grinthumb.

for the ones with big knowledge on rock music, who do they resemble from the bands of the 70's and 80's?

I am well familiar with Mana. I have been a fan for years. As to who they sound like I would say that as for their early stuff (From the 90's) they sound a LOT like the Police with some Reggae mixed in like this one from 1992. Their music is quite good although they still sing in Spanish. The language barrier might be too much for some to overcome, some wouldn't care.

Sorry I'm late PF...I have listened to all 4 songs and I am impressed.

I enjoy the unique sound of the Spanish vocals, and love all the percussion gives it that Latin quality which I really like.

I am tempted to get a complete studio album to give them a proper listen.

Any recommendations?
