Man on the Silver Mountain quickly became Rainbow's Smoke on the Water and showed that Ritchie Blackmore was more than capable of great material after DP. Although it sounds like the best album Led Zeppelin never made, Rush has great tracks and playing by Alex Lifeson. I wish he was still playing in this unfettered style, but I voted for Blackmore's Rainbow.

Oh man RUSH is getting the s*** kicked outta them here. I love Rainbow and Ronnie too , but am sooo in love with Rush. I didn't think they would win but didn't think it would be this far behind already :heheh:

I don't mind being in the minority, Signals is in my top 5 Rush albums of all time.

In fact if I was the only vote for Working Man I would still be comfortable with my choice and question the sanity of the horde of Rainbow fanatics of course.:D

I get home at five o'clock
And I take myself out a nice, cold beer
Always seem to be wonderin'
Why there's nothin' goin' down here

Working Man is easily my favorite Rush track... nothing else comes close (well, maybe Tom Sawyer), BUT... Working Man vs the Man on the Silver Mountain?! Sorry Rush, but RJD+R.Blackmore beat you out.

Both tracks are epic tracks from the 70's and sound as good today as they did way back in the day.
