Two stunning debut albums ! Love the WISHBONE ASH ,and the melodic twin guitar sound but its no surprise Ive gone for "Lonesome crow" by one of my favorite bands SCORPIONS .
The album is a pearler from start to finish with an extremely young Michael Schenker on guitar [ 16?? ] in rampant form !! ......and to think SCORPIONS got even better when Uli Jon Roth joined the ranks !!!
For anyone not familiar with "Lonesome crow" ....it is an album that doesnt sound anything like the "Wind of change " SCORPIONS that we know today.
Its a atmospheric masterpiece... more kraut rock with the odd jazz basslines chucked in.. [ no ballads lol ] I would HIGHLY reccomend this album :cheers2

Great post Lou. I for one really like Lonesome Crow (though voted for Wishbone Ash :peek ) which has sort of progressive sound about it and prefer The Scorps earlier work. Also Michael Schenker's phenomenal "Iommiesque" guitar playing really makes the album worth listening to.

BTW let me know when the plane flies over the island and will send a crate full of Montrose and Scorpion albums :D.
